HEART TO HEART is a study in the pyramid of friendship. The angles of the legs, arms, and gazes are tightly focused and highlight the bond between the two figures. With an obvious long history of trust, one can easily imagine the intimate conversation between the two confidants.

HEART TO HEART was the third sculpture in the PAIR SERIES (2020- 2022) where Testé depicted deeply bonded pairs of figures

WINGING IT

You know, my advice gets a mixed review.
And you’re not that astute in seeking it.
This pandora box, we will see through.
To be honest, we’re all just winging it.

Our tilted earth rolling around the sun,
The world on a string and we’re swinging it.
A tangle of stars and plans loosely spun,
All carpe diem, we are bringing it.

My heart loves your incorrigible mess,
Not briefly but always I’m giving it.
You’ll figure it out, but must first say yes,
Life belongs to those who are living it.

So play with abandon, with spoils to share,
My bet is on you, & I’m keeping it.
Out here on the last checkerboard square,
Optimistic rogues, we are kinging it.

There is a power for us in not knowing,
Flubbing the words, still we’re singing it.
Sweet life, I don’t know where we’re going,
But as wild birds, we are winging it.
